Flannelberry Fibre

This yak, starting weight of 2oz puffs, is a rich, chocolatey brown. It's very short staple can be tricky to spin but the pay off (or just having your hands in this super soft, fluffy fibre, is very worth the effort!

This alpaca is not as fine as some, making it an affordable luxury fibre. Its recommended use is for blankets and throws.

Oh angora. It's silky, puffy loveliness is heaven to spin. This combed, fine top (with a staple length of roughly 3.5") is a great blending fibre whether you're spinning or felting.

This cashmere has a longer staple length than some, making it wonderfully well suited to handspinning.

This beautiful, soft, young llama top is a wonderful addition to any handspinner's repertoire.

Like the dark yak top, it's incredibly soft but in a creamy shade that looks spectacular on it's own or with your choice of protein fibre friendly dyes.

Bombyx silk, also known as mulberry silk or cultivated silk, is the world's finest silk, prized for its incredible luster, fineness and strength. Louet's bombyx silk top is a top-quality white combed preparation, ready to spin! Bombyx silk can be dyed with acid dyes including food coloring and drink mix, and also with fiber reactive dyes. A slippery fiber, bombyx silk can be tricky to spin, but yields beautiful results for all skill levels. This sliver is slightly easier to spin than bricks.
This fiber is bleached.

This is a beautiful, clean silk noil which is easy to dye. Great quality for a great price. The Noils are bleached white.

Tussah silk, a natural pale honey in color, is widely regarded as being a little easier to spin than bombyx silk. Cultivated from a different strain of moth than bombyx silk, tussah is incredibly fine, but just a little coarser than bombyx, and feels a bit less slippery. Tussah also dyes beautifully with acid dyes or fiber reactive dyes. It tends to produce a slightly fuzzier yarn than bombyx, still with the same incredible strength, shine and softness. Most teachers recommend new silk spinners start with tussah before bombyx.

This is creamy in appearance and it can be spun by itself or blended. The fiber is clean and easy to dye.

This is an adult mohair fiber and the natural soft honey color is a favorite.
